Coaching for Hope
Coaching for Hope is a registered charity with the aim of promoting football and HIV/aids awareness in areas of Africa. Hull City FITC has been involved in the project for two years, initially two of our coaches, Michael Richardson and Daniel O’Keeffe, traveled to Burkina Faso in West Africa. After this successful visit which also included coaches from Brighton and Queens Park Rangers, the project has developed and has gained the attention of Fat Boy Slim who is now the project ambassador. He has already been out to visit one of the projects which was held in Mali over September 2006 which once again was highly successful and has enabled the project to expand even further.
Having been on three trips to Africa, Michael Richardson is now a part-time project leader for this area, and is tasked with raising the profile of the project in the north of England. Michael’s work will include developing school links, creating school projects and fund raising.
Please contact Michael Richardson for more information on (01482) 304758.
