Fit for Football
The Fit for Football project has proven to be a huge success; it has surpassed all targets and delivered much more than was originally planned. The project now must sustain itself after a four year period of Lottery Funding.
Hull City FITC is now offering every school the chance to access this project at a cost. We are actively searching for new funding streams in order to cut down these costs. Support from commercial or private organisations is always most welcome.
A fantastic example of a local company providing support for its community is Kingston Communications. Thanks to their financial input we are able visit thirty two East Riding primary schools free of charge. Up to May 2008, around a thousand children will receive health advice and be given opportunities to participate in enjoyable physical activities.
The overall aim is to encourage children to adopt a healthy lifestyle by highlighting the benefits of eating a balanced diet, taking part in regular exercise and sporting activities and staying away from harmful substances e.g., smoking and alcohol.
