Respect

Appreciation of something or somebody...

Everyone deserves respect, so expect others to respect you! But remember, if you don’t behave responsibly or have an appropriate attitude then you could lose the respect of team mates.

Footballers are respected for their achievements, for example winning trophies and for giving 100 percent.

The way a footballer plays the game is important, they should be fair but competitive, lead by example and encourage team mates and always work hard in training and matches.

Question for Andy Dawson

Q. What does respect mean to you?

A. Respect is very important, both on and off the pitch, and is something that you have to earn as a footballer and a person. You only get respect from another person if you yourself are a nice person and treat people in the same way you’d like to be treated yourself. As a footballer you earn respect on the pitch by being, honest, hardworking and a good sport.

Can you be as good as Andy?
